What is Gen Yodha?

Gen Yodha is a peer networking platform built specifically for professionals with 0–7 years of experience. Think of it as the anti-LinkedIn — no performative culture, no vanity metrics, just real connections with people at your career level.

Who is Gen Yodha for?

Recent graduates navigating their first job search. Early-career professionals looking to switch roles or grow. Anyone with 0–7 years of experience who feels invisible on existing platforms. First-generation professionals without built-in networks. People who want real connections.

What does "Gen Yodha" mean?

"Yodha" means warrior in Sanskrit. Gen Yodha = Generation of Warriors. It's for the generation that's fighting to build careers without the privilege of elite networks.

Is Gen Yodha a job board?

No. Gen Yodha is a peer network first. While we have a Jobs section, the core value is connecting you with peers who can share referrals, advice, and support. Referrals are 10x more effective than cold applications — and they come from genuine relationships, which is what we help you build.

Is Gen Yodha free?

We're currently in beta. Pricing details will be shared shortly. We also plan a "Pay It Forward" system where premium members can sponsor access for underprivileged students.

How does the AI experience builder work?

You have two AI-powered options for adding work experience:

Voice to Bullets: Tap the mic, talk about your role naturally, and AI converts it into polished bullet points. The more details you give, the better it can surface points for you. You can also copy/paste those into your resume!

Resume Import: Paste your resume text, and AI extracts all your roles with descriptions.

Both use free monthly AI credits that reset each month.

What are Close Friends posts?

Close Friends lets you share posts with a select group of people. Go to Settings → Manage Close Friends to add people. When creating a post, choose "Close Friends" visibility. Only people on your list will see it. Great for sharing things you're not ready to make public.

How do messages work?

Messages on Gen Yodha work through a request system. You send a message request from someone's profile, and they choose to accept or decline. This prevents spam and ensures conversations are mutual. You can also react to messages with emojis.

Why do messages expire?

Coffee Chat requests expire after 7 days if not accepted. This eliminates the anxiety of being "left on read" — if someone doesn't respond, the request simply disappears. No hard feelings.

Is there a limit on messages?

Each user can receive up to 50 message requests per day (max). Users can also limit this by going to Settings → Message Request Limit. This protects people from being overwhelmed and encourages you to be intentional about who you reach out to.

What Gen Yodha IS and ISN'T

Gen Yodha IS

  • A peer network for early-career professionals
  • A place to connect with people at your level
  • A tool that accelerates what you're already building
  • An anti-performance space for authentic professional growth

Gen Yodha is NOT

  • A job board (though jobs are listed)
  • A magic solution to career problems
  • A replacement for doing the work
  • Another LinkedIn clone with a different color scheme

If you're already putting in effort, already showing up, already building — Gen Yodha will accelerate what you're doing. If you're looking for someone else to do the work for you, this isn't it.
